30 June 2010: The deadline is fast approaching! Please submit your application for SIGGRAPH Asia 2010 Student Volunteers (SV) Program and join us in a learning and fruitful experience in running an international event which draws thousands of people who share a passion for advanced computer graphics technologies.
SV gets the unique opportunity to meet and learn directly from industry professionals, artists and teachers while assisting conference attendees and supporting conference programs.
All SVs have free admission to SIGGRAPH Asia 2010 complete program including Courses, Technical Sketches & Posters, Technical Papers, and the Computer Animation Festival. To help cushion your expenses, we offer all SVs meal vouchers and selected SVs who fulfill 25 hours or more conference housing for up to five nights. Team Leaders will receive seven nights of housing. This year, we offer international SVs the home-stay option, where local students are encouraged to host international students at their homes during SIGGRAPH Asia 2010 in our effort to provide an experience that bridges cultural and language differences and disciplines, and encourage networking, communication, and collaboration amongst students from all over the world.
You can create your application here. Details here.
SIGGRAPH Asia 2010 starts 15-18 December 2010 in Seoul, South Korea at COEX Convention & Exhibition Cente.

I had the opportunity to attend Internationale Trickfilm-Festival Stuttgart in Germany with ‘Hush Baby’. Upon Sophie’s suggestion to visit Paris as well, it turned out to be an amazing journey!
Following the successful showcase in London Generation Gallery during 2009 London Design Festivals, the 22 postcards make their way home for an exclusive showcase at Hairloom & Caramel for one week only.
From May 22 (Sat) 1pm to May 29 8pm
Location: Hairloom & Caramel
100 Beach Road, #01-50/52, Shaw Towers
Meet the Singapore illustrators this Saturday, 22 May ‘10, 1pm at Hairloom and Caramel! A collaboration between 22 illustrators from both Singapore and the UK. A6 /future/ invites these artists to share their thoughts, hopes and dreams about their future through the use of A6-sized postcards.
‘Hush Baby’ is selected for Internationale Trickfilm-Festival Stuttgart, Germany, which is taking place 4-9 May ‘10. It is competing in the ‘Young Animation’ category, screening on 5 and 6 May. Really looking forward to the event and hope that plans would work out nicely for me to be there. For now, the trailer for this year’s festival is really cool, here’s it:
The baby will next be crying at Anifest 2010, Czech Republic. So exciting!

Remember the A6 Project that I mentioned here a while ago? With the exhibition currently happening in London (21-27 Sep), here are the 2 postcards that I worked on.
