Animation Nation 2008
Posted in Events on Sep 25th, 2008

It’s that time of the year again and Animation Nation is back with an enticing selection of shorts, feature films and talks! I can’t keep this to myself: Koji Yamamura, Japanese independent director/animator of The Country Doctor and Atama Yama, is coming to Singapore in conjunction with the retrospective screening of his important works! Can’t wait to pick his brains.
24 Oct – 2 Nov. Keep a lookout here for full programme!
A preview after the jump.
A list of must-watch’s, because who knows when they are coming here again?
.

Sita Sings the Blues by Nina Paley

And these are just 5 out of the 50 films, both features and shorts. On the speakers’ list are David Sproxton (Aardman Animations), Luis Cook (The Pearce Sisters), Nina Paley, Morita Shuhei (Freedom Project) and of course Koji Yamamura.
I need time to digest the whole programme. Be right back.
Big hug to Singapore Film Society which always brings in such an amazing selection.
